In a July 12 press release, NYS Governor Cathy Hochul announced $31.5M in funding was awarded for the New York State Pathways in Technology program.
A portion of this funding ($2.5M) will allow Maritime College to partner with the Urban Assembly New York Harbor School and the Billion Oyster Project in preparing New York students for a pathway leading to high-wage, high-skill jobs in the maritime industry. The program provides a seamless sequence of study extending through two years of postsecondary career and technical education, leading to an Associate degree.
