New York State Online Voter Registration
NYS Residents may register to vote online. A NYS driver license, permit or non-driver ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles AND a social security number is needed to utilize New York's online voter registration system. The address listed on the ID needs to match where the user is registering to vote. If the user does not have a New York-issued ID, or prefers to register at a different address, they can register by mail to vote.
