The EMPIRE STATE VI will arrive at Fort Schuyler on Tuesday, August 2, at 10:00 AM.
Typically, this celebratory event attracts anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 visitors to campus, and this year will be no exception as it is the final SST cruise for Empire State VI.
Campus Access
Parking on campus is very limited due to the construction of the new Marine Education and Seamanship Center and Bridge Authority repairs on the Throggs Neck Bridge. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
Vehicles will not be permitted on campus before 7:00 AM on the morning of ship arrival. Setting up chairs and awnings will not be permitted before this day and time and will be removed by facilities team members. Please follow parking directions by University Police and facilities personnel. Chairs and tents are not permitted in the streets or on the brick sidewalk to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Also, keep in mind that no alcohol is permitted on campus.
