Erg a Thon
Date

Members of the Privateer Crew Team will row consecutively for 12 hours on Wednesday, March 31, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.to raise much-needed funds to support the team.

This season's Maritime Crew team consists of 17 men and 12 women rowers led by Head Coach Clemens Reinke and Assistant Coach La’Quey Smith ’16. As the student athletes prepare to get back on the river, off-water practices are held on six indoor rowing machines (ergs) in McMurray Hall. While the team is excited to row out their new boathouse, team practices would greatly benefit from additional rowing machines to support more student athletes and run practices more effectively.

Team Goal: Row 130,000 M to raise $6,000 for the purchase of six new Ergs.

Calling all former crew team members, alumni, family and friends Please join us during the Erg-A-Thon, which will be streamed on Facebook Live. Before, during or after the event, your generous support will help the team meet or exceed its goal. Additional funding beyond the initial $6,000 goal will support the purchase of additional ergs and new racks on floating docks.

For questions, or to learn how to row at home or your club to support the team, please contact Robert Crafa at rcrafa@sunymaritime.edu or Coach Reinke at creinke@sunymaritime.edu.
