Matthew Germann began at Maritime College in 2013. He previously taught at Kings Point and the United States Coast Guard Academy.

He holds a Master of Science from Long Island University and a USCG 3^rd Mate Unlimited deck license. He also serves as the faculty advisor for the Fort Schuyler Boat Club.
