Research

Current Research

Hydrodynamic aspects of model building for ship-bridge simulators, Mathematical modeling, simulation of maneuvering behavior of Ocean-going Cargo, Passenger Ships, inland Push-Boat, and Multiple Barge combinations. Building hydrodynamic models to study the maneuvering behaviors of the cargo vessels in restricted, congested water areas and port maneuvering for academic and research purposes.

Previous Research

Post-Doctoral Research contribution in Numerical Hydrodynamic modeling, for a NASA-funded project, updating a current numerical model to evaluate melt and erosion rates of irregularly shaped icebergs, to estimate the freshwater flux into the ocean circulation.
Marine materials/Corrosion Lab – corrosion in Dry-Reinforced Concrete pipes.

Future Research

Hydrodynamic study of floating multiple concrete modules interconnected by ropes with or without damping units in a shared mooring system to the seabed in deep/intermediate waters. These interconnected floating modules serve as the platform for wind turbine installation to produce. A dedicated floating barge can be deployed in the vicinity of the wind farms housing the machinery for hydrogen production and storage. A feeder ship can be used to load the stored hydrogen through the Single Buoy Mooring System (SBM) and sail back to the shore facility for delivery.
