THROGGS NECK, NY – Millions of fans saw Maritime College’s Reinhart Field during the CBS broadcast of Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday night.  The home of the Privateers’ men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer and football teams was used for a commercial that aired during the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 30-second spot starring Emmy winner Dan Levy and Saturday Night Live’s Heidi Gardner was filmed in mid-December.  It was one of four Super Bowl ads for the CoStar Group (which also owns and was shown immediately after Kansas City tied the game at 16-16 midway through the fourth quarter.

In the commercial, Levy crashes a football team’s huddle while dressed as the mascot before being chased by security and flying away in a helicopter with Gardner.  Reinhart Field’s press box, bleachers and scoreboard, as well as the Maritime Academic Center, are all clearly visible in multiple shots.
