lcdr La'Quey Smith
La’Quey Smith is a native of the island of Grand Bahama, Bahamas. She earned her BS in Marine Transportation with an Unlimited 3rd Mate License and an MS in International Transportation Management with a concentration in International Logistics. She worked as a Custom Broker for four (4) years before attending SUNY Maritime College. During her time at Maritime College, she has worked in numerous departments including; Residential Life, and Student Affairs, where she was the Licensing Staff Assistant and Interim Cadet Shipping Coordinator. She also served as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Rowing coach, LEAD 101 professor, and teaches Seminar – Navigation General. She resides on campus with her husband, son, and two dogs.
