SUNY Maritime has approximately 1,600 students focused on engineering, business, science, and maritime transportation. Our waterfront, 55-acre campus is on the shores of the Long Island Sound just 30 minutes from Manhattan.
Freshman Applicants
Fall 2025 Applications open via Common Application & SUNY Application.
We accept the Common Application and the SUNY Application and treat both applications the same throughout the admission process.
Transfer Applicants
Transfer students must apply through the SUNY Application.
Graduate Student Applicants
Graduate students must apply through the Graduate Admissions Application.
Readmission Applicants
Previously enrolled students seeking to re-matriculate and have been separated from the college for at least two semesters (unless you were on a leave of absence) must submit an application for readmission.
Non-Matriculated (Non-Degree) Applicants
Students who are not enrolled in an undergraduate program may take up to two courses a semester until they have earned 15 credits and should complete the Non-Matriculated Student Application. They must earn at least a 2.0 GPA and finish at least half of the hours for which they registered. To complete a degree or take more than 15 credits, students must apply through the undergraduate admissions process.
Student Exchange Program
Any student seeking to attend Maritime College via Student Exchange should complete the Student Exchange application.
Istanbul Technical University Dual Degree Program
Any student from the ITUMF seeking the SUNYMC Dual Degree Program should complete the following application.
National Taiwan Ocean University Dual Degree Program
Any student from the NTOU seeking the SUNYMC Dual Degree Program should complete the following application.
A.A.S. to B.S. Applicants
Current SUNY Maritime College students seeking to transition from the Associates program into one of the Bachelor of Science programs should complete the A.A.S. to B.S. degree change application.
Seaman To Admiral-21 (STA-21) Program
STA-21 Program is a two-part application. After applying, contact our Dean of Admissions, Danielle "Danny" Robinson at drobinson@sunymaritime.edu to discuss and complete the remainder of the process through SUNY Maritime College.
Presidential NROTC Preparatory Scholarship
The Presidential NROTC Preparatory Scholarship provides economically and/or academically disadvantaged applicants with a unique opportunity to earn a commission in the United States Navy.
