Housing Application

Applications and Housing Intents for on-campus housing are available at https://suny-maritime-residence.symplicity.com.To apply for housing or complete the housing intent, log in at the link above using your SUNY Maritime email and password.


SUNY Maritime email credentials:

Username - is your full student email (include @sunymaritime.edu).

Password - same password you use to login to your student email.

New students cannot apply for housing until they have sent their enrollment deposits to Admissions and received a campus email address. Note that new students to housing include those students returning from an LOA, students who have been dis-enrolled and commuter students who wish to reside in housing.


Deadlines for Spring 2017 Housing

New Students

  • Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 – application opens

  • Friday, November 11th, 2016 – application due


Returning Students

  • Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 – housing intent* opens

  • Friday, November 11th, 2016 – housing intent due

*Students currently living in housing must notify the Office of Housing of their intent to remain in housing for the spring semester.


Deadlines for Summer 2017 Housing

  • Tuesday, April, 25th, 2017 – application opens

  • Friday, April 28th, 2017 – application due


Deadlines for Fall 2017 Housing

New Students

  • Monday, April 3rd, 2017 – application opens

  • Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 – application due


Returning Students

  • Monday, April 3rd, 2017 – application opens

  • Thursday, April 13th, 2017 – application due

Note: Students who do not fill out the housing application on-time will be placed on a waiting list and CANNOT participate in room lottery.


Housing Lottery Instructions/ Guidelines

The housing lottery is only available to students who are returning for the Fall semester.

  • Returning Students select their rooms on a lottery system, which is assigned based on GPA and class standing.

  • Once available, fill out the Returning Student Housing Application (Part 1) via Symplicity.

  • If applying with a roommate group, each person must complete the Roommate Group section of the housing application (Part 2)

  • Students are assigned a lottery time based on highest GPA.

  • Students should select a room using the roommate with the best lottery time.

  • If you are in the regiment of cadets, your roommate(s) must be in your regimental class.

  • Students will receive a save the date email, which will outline what day and time their lottery will be available.
