Check In/Check Out Procedure

Check-in Procedures

Please be advised that students are expected to report to campus on the check-in date, which can be found on the academic calendar. Students are subjected to be withdrawn from their housing assignment if they: are not registered as a full-time student (12 credits for undergraduate students & 9 credits for graduate students); do not satisfy their student account; do not officially check into their assignment and pick up their room key within 5 business days. Once a student is withdrawn from housing, they lose their reservation and are placed on a waiting list.


Check-In Schedule for All Students

  • 4th Class/Civilian Freshman: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

  • 3rd Class/Civilian Sophomores: 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

  • 2nd Class/Civilian Juniors: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

  • 1st Class/Civilian Seniors: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Grad/DS: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • International Students: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

**Students who arrive AFTER 5:00 p.m. will have to make arrangements to stay off Campus until the next business day to check-in properly.


Check-out Procedures 

Check-out for the Spring 2017 semester: Saturday, April 29th, 2017 before 12pm

Sign up for an appointment with your RA at least 24 hours in advance to check out (Sign-ups will be available outside the RA’s door).

What to do the day of your checkout before you meet the RA.

  •  REMOVE all of your belongings

  •  CLEAN the entire room floor and furniture surface included.

  •  CLEAN Suite bathroom & hallway (**New Hall only***)

  •  RETURN furniture to move-in condition (MUG style, exception New Hall)

  •  CLOSE Windows

  •  OPEN Blinds/Curtains

  •  THROW OUT all trash (Dumpsters will be available outside)

  •  TURN OFF lights


Meet with your RA to conduct the checkout

  •  COMPLETE a check-out Room Condition Report with the RA.

  •  RETURN key(s) to the RA (an envelope with receipt will be provided)

 *Failure to turn in your assigned key will result in a charge of $150.00 on your student account.

*Failure to check out with the RA will result in improper checkout fee of $100.

*Maritime College is not responsible for items left in the room*
