U.S. Coast Guard Physicals

Health Services works to ensure that students pursuing U.S. Coast Guard licenses meet the physical and medical requirements established by the federal government.

Physical Examinations

Upon acceptance to Maritime, all licensed students must have a physical that meets U.S. Coast Guard standards. If your student has had a physical within the past year, your healthcare provider may transcribe the information onto the college's health forms and the USCG physical form, the CG-719K.

Eye Exams

License students must also have a color-vision test that meets U.S. Coast Guard standards. If your healthcare provider does not offer an accepted exam, your student may take the test on campus during orientation or indoctrination.
