Steps to Enroll

  • Submit your $100 deposit along with your Statement of Intention

  • Complete and submit your FAFSA (School code 002853)

    • If you have already completed a 2018-2019 FAFSA update by adding SUNY Maritime’s school code

  • Access My Maritime email upon receipt of your deposit and Statement of Intention

    • The first time you sign in, your username will be your first name, the first three letters of your last name, followed by a period and the last two digits of your incoming year. For example, if your name is Michelle Smith and you first enrolled in 2017, your username will be michellesmi.17@sunymaritime.edu.

    • Your password will be the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name (both capitalized), followed by a dash and the last five digits of your Maritime College ID. For example, if Michelle Smith's ID is M00065789, her password will be MS-65789.

    • If you have problems logging in, contact helpdesk@sunymaritime.edu.

  • Accept financial aid through Maritime Self Service

  • For regimental students: Submit your application for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) and valid passport. You may do this between May 17 and July 17. We recommend that you do it early to allow for processing time.

  • Register to attend summer orientation. Please note that the orientation sessions July 16 - 18 are for students only. A separate orientation session for parents and families is July 25. 

    • Orientation is strongly recommended for all new students. If you are unable to attend, please contact Arianne Romeo, Senior Assistant Dean of Students.

  • Register for classes:

    • The academic dean will contact you and guide you through the advising and registration process

  • Complete the online housing application (housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis). For more information, visit Housing & Residential Life.

  • Regimental students must submit health forms and pay their uniform deposit.

  • Accept financial aid through Maritime Self Service

  • Sign up to receive notification of e-bills with QuikPay authorization

  • Accept/waive billed health insurance. 

  • Submit Health Forms

  • Submit official final high school and/or college transcripts to the Office of Admissions by July 16

  • Pay your bill by August 6. Please note that indoctrination and uniform fees are paid separately from your college bill.

  • August 15 - 25: Regimental students move onto campus and attend indoctrination. Indoc is an intensive 10-day program with its own special requirements and recommendations. Click the link for more information.

  • August 24 - Move in day for new, traditional (civilian) students

  • August 27 - First day of classes
