Dr. Oganes Bogaryan first began his career by working as a junior researcher at the Computer Center of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Then he studied in former Leningrad’s Steklov’s Institute of Mathematics, part of the Academy of Sciences of USSR which ended with receiving a Ph. D. degree for applying different nets (grids) in solving Schredinger’s equation. From 1959 to 1981 he worked as a professor at the State University and Erevan Polytechnic Institute. In 1981 he left USSR for the USA with his family. From 1982 to present, he has worked at SUNY Maritime College teaching mathematics.
