- E-mail will be available on the ship, however it is not the responsibility of the ship for cadets to use or send emails.
- Electrical items are not allowed on the ship, only battery-operated devices that do not require charging are allowed.
- ATM’s will generally give the best exchange rate in each port.
- Phone cards are available in all of the ports, if you want to buy them beforehand, call the phone company and get country specific numbers to ensure they work properly.
- Climate will periodically change and light rain gear is recommended in case of rain in port.

Belfast:
Due to the inability to berth within the German Navy Base at Kiel, and no other suitable berth for the training ship, we have decided to substitute Belfast, Northern Ireland as the final port of SST 2009. Dates will be the same - 24-28 June.
